Is India's unity being undermined by its diversity ?

India is a country of 1.2 million population in it.   It is the place where 4 major religions in the world took birth-Hinduism, Jainism, Buddism and sikkhism.  Rather than these india also facilitated the ancient Islamism and Christianity.  Not only in religions but in every string we can find the diversity even in yoga, fine arts, cuisines etc.  There by we say india is a multilingual, multireligious and pluralistic society.  Even with So many diverisities in our country we are rather at a glee to declare india as an Incredible for its Unity Still!

Its, however, a pity that from past few years the communal clashes and terrorism are paving their own way cutting between us.  These all us indicate that people are forgetting our country’s true ancient culture.  India never had a war with any country on its own uninvited.   Religions has been a great dividing force presently.  2002 riots and 1992 babri riots are the ardent examples of growing communal riots in the country.   Even Still there is the clash in between muslims and hindu’s whether to pass the cow-protection bill or not.  During 1966, there held a agitation on how one can kill the being which is as sacred as mother for hindu’s.  At the time of Prime minister Indira Gandhi Didn’t accept the demand for ban on the cow slaughtering as in a fear of drastic fall of muslim votes.  The police then fired on peaceful rally killing many sandhu’s.  So from the above incident one can get a clear perception of the main cause of the communal riots.  A deeper analysis of the factors of these conflicts show that in all these situations non religions, often political and economic interests were instrumental to these problems.  Only the religious identitiy was used as mask to cover up and to satisfy the evil deeds.  Especially in our country the governments are playing hide and seek with the people of different communities to come into power.  Press which is considered as the fourth pillar in our constitution  and most part of the media is just acting as maiden servant under the hands of the politicians by making all facts blurry.  Regionalism also raises its ugly head at times and divides the interest against people of other region.

"The world is my country.
All mankind are my brethren

And to do good is my religion." - M.K.Gandhi

The Gandhi philosophy is again in a need to re-educate the people of India.   The task of curing india of all these differences is not so difficult and only the enlightenment is only the tool to be used.  These differences in region, religion, caste can get inhibited by intimating the people that the whole world got itself divided into haves and have-nots and nothing else.  So all these differences were just like mirages created by influential ones to just satisfy their interests.  For prevention of all these communal clashes require alertness and immediate and immediate response from law and order administration.  Even the press also should act as non-partial element to curb all the differences between the people.  Every citizen of a country should keep an eye on the government and government servants.  Everyone should get updated of newly passed bills, amendments and acts.  The Right to Information Act should be properly utilized by all the citizens so that it acts as an antidote to fresh illegal affairs that would create the disturbances in the society.  Over a huge population of 450 million youth are there in our country, they all should be guided to work for a noble cause under the suggestions & leadership of successful one’s  like A.P.J.Abdul Kalam and many more such people.  I conclude saying that hope if above all the things were implemented it  enhances our country’s strength in all the directions of the world.

It is, however, a pity that in recent years the communal clashes, the increasing evidence of intolerance and disharmony, apparently endless discord, the open clashes at public meetings, and the all too frequent denunciation of each other have increased so much as it indicate that the people are forgetting their true culture, and are allowing themselves to exploited by selfish, uncultured people who seek to disrupt and destroy rather than build and consolidate.

VILLAGE STUDY PROVOKED NEW IDEAS

RAMANAPUDI

This is my project done recently for a competition conducted by ultratech cement pvt.ltd  especially  for civil  engineers.

CONFIDENTIAL    Ramanapudi(village code-28) belong to gudivada Mandal(mdl code42) of Krishna Dt. A.P.  The population of this village is around 1500 people
Coordinates:   16°23'16"N   80°59'33"E

Reasons for choosing this Particular Village:-
We choosed this village because it is just 5.5 km from Gudivada Town.  It is situated on the P.P.road which connects gudivada and Pamarru, vuyyur and machilipatnam.  Primarily the people living in this village are somewhat economically well settled.  I mean that they own Huge acres of land.  They also own ancestral properties. Due to the lack of coordination between them is the only reason for underdevelopment.  The Population is about 1500 members including children but there are only 900 members in voters list of the village.  There are around 250 houses in the village.

Brief description of the Village:-
The main occupational activity of the villagers is Agriculture.  Some of the villagers also depend upon the cattle rearing etc.
Here the Average Annual Income for 1 acre land ranges from Rs.20,000/- to Rs.30,000/-.  From July to November end they cultivate Rice.  And from December to February month end They cultivate black gram.  From March to June the land remains barren.  The people earn Rs 150 to Rs 200 for 4hrs when they go as labor in between march and june.  The monthly expenditure of a house hold is ranging between Rs.3000 to 5000/-.  Millers buy the Crop from the Farmers.  Some millers transport to other states when government permits.  Some Millers Sell the crop to FCI(Food Corporation of India). We all usually know that this FCI’s main objective is to maintain satisfactory level of operational and buffer stocks of foodgrains to ensure national food security.  When I reached out farmers there they admit that only due to FCI intervention in market is main reason for stabilization of price of the crop.  Here 1 acre of field costs ranging from 20 to 35 lakhs as it is very nearby village to the road connecting Gudivada and pamarru.
The  land that is used for Agricultural purpose in and around the village is 1250 acres, but at present the cultivation is done in only 850acres.  This Village comes under Gudivada Rural Police Station.
Political Conditions in the Village:-
This Village Panchayath consists of One President & secretary who is a government servant(as well as paid by the government) and Seven Ward members.  Except Secretary all others are elected by the people of this village.  At present the president got dissolved.  Now the entire village is under the hands of secretary.  The Ex-President of the Village is Veerabadrarao.

This Village Got to see somewhat advancement during the period of 2001-05.  Then President Venkatasivudu tried to the best of his level to get funds from different sections of Mandal.  In his term the village got funds for construction of Panchayath office and anganwadi kendram.

Industrial Relations with the Village:-
There are about 60 to 70 factories in and around the Ramanapudi Village.  The Kwality Feeds Limited which is situated touching the P.P.Road in ramanapudi is very famous for manufacturing high quality extruded floating fish feed, aqua feed and Cattle feed.  SKS Bio Products Pvt Ltd. Is also situated in this village which involves in production of enzymes, Bio fertilizers and pro-biotics etc  & in the same way other biotech industry called Nature biotech is also present in this village.
Tirumala Diary is also situated touching this village.  There are 2-3 rice mill like rajyalakshmi rice mill and kamadenu rice mill etc.  Here in total 70 factories  maximum no. are cold storage farms are present, these constitute 40-50.  In this area the Saltiness in water is the main factor for the establishment of cold storages.
Income to the Village:
Ø  As it is developed as industrial area the income from industries and factories to the village in form of taxes is 1 lakh per year.
Ø  There are 4 ponds in the village.  The village panchayth gets income of 1 lakh 25 thousand approximately per year.
Ø  If there is any kind buying & selling is done through property registrations this village gets 5% of the wholesome amount.  Approximately the amount bares from Rs.30,000 to 40,000.
Ø  According to the 11th financial funding scheme each person get 8 ½ rupees per year from the central government.
Ø  From RW-Voters Scheme this village gets Rs.50,000 per year.
Ø   Zilla Parishad funds are also ensured for Ramanapudi every year.
Ø  During 2001-05 these villagers got Rs.5 Lakh from M.P Fund and 1 lakh 50,000 from MLA fund.
Ø  From “NABARD” this village got funds of 1 crore 70 lakhs to construct a concerte road that links 3 panchayats.
Ø  This Village has 55yrs of panchayath and till now 11 sarpanchs(panchayth presidents) handled the power.
Ø  The pivotal thing is Mahajan Sabha which will be held once in 6months to discuss the utilization of funds for right purpose with the all villagers.
Everything is funded by the government but the only thing  is that categories are different.  The president and Secretary of the village  may not be a literate but must be educated the ways that they can bring the funds to village from mandal, ZP, state and Central Funding Schemes.   The Panchayath president also should feel Onus in brining funds to the village.  This Ramanapudi Village needs a Facelift to look better & beautiful.
Medical Facilities:-
In this village they don’t have any kind of medical facility but the government gave Moturu Medical Hospital as regional medical centre.  The villagers say the ambulance will reach them within 5-10min in case of any emergency call.
Educational Systems:-
Here the education is upto 7th class itself.  That too the school is being run by the Government.  There are about 100 to 120 students studying in the school.  To pursue above 7th class one has to go addada or billapadu villages to study. There are only 4-5 teachers who come from outside the village.  This is the condition of educational system in the village.
Traditional Entertainments:-
These people go for cock fights during Sankranthi festival season(January).  This is their traditional entertainment.  Other than this there is no particular entertainment for the villagers.
Caste system and Religion:-
Here the basic point to consider is that Maximum population of the village belong to only one community(They refer themselves as “Gollas” or Yadu Rajus or Kshatriyas”).  I mean that 190-200 houses in village belong to this particular community but even though they belong to same community due to lack of unity they lag behind in development.  10 houses belong to Kammavaru(chowdary) community.  And 40 houses which are situated on only one side of the village belong to malavaru(SC) community.  This is the caste census of the village.  Hope here in this village caste don’t play a major roll or as a barrier for the development of the village.
Here in this Village now a days Christianity is getting propagated very fast & the people are also showing their own interest towards this foreign religion.  But Recently the people belonging to a sub division of Yadav Raju community constructed a temple of their god “Ganganamma” spending 10Lakhs on that temple.  They believe that this god saved them and being saving their village from droughts or whatever disasters.
(Ganganamma Temple in the Village)
Projects We prefer for the Village:-
Methods Suggested for the development of the village:
We suggest Drip irrigation” for the fields in the village because it disables the wastage of water.  The water through this drip irrigation directly served to the roots.  This method saves water and ferlizer by allowing water to drip slowly to the roots of plants through a network of valves, pipes and tubes.  For Last few decades the irrigation system in this Krishna delta is in a drastic downfall due to lack of sufficient water resourses from nagarjuna sagar project.  From past few years the average annual rainfall is declining gradually this year it is 1,094mm only.  So we prefer this type of irrigation to the village as it is cheap, intial installation cost also less compatively.

Cottage industries-That We Suggest:----

Since our main objective is to create sustainable income stream we will explore ways and means to develop small scale industries where ever the local resources will be able to support such an opportunity. Women based food processing unit, Reestablishment of indigenous rural occupation those who belongs perticular community like fishery, Animal husbadary, carpentary etc. We can  save community's  occupation in mordernised way.  The industry could be for fruits juice canning, tomato paste canning, fish meal, frozen seafood processing, flour packaging and bakery. This will permit remote villages to be financially self sustaining and the creation of employment.

3. ORGANIC FERTILIZER

With the aid of our organic fertilizer, the farms will enjoy the benefits of being environmentally friendly, shorter harvesting period and increased production. The organic fertilizer has proven to increase production by up to 40%, insect free attack, shorten harvesting period and cause no pollution. We can use agricultural wastes as organic fertilisers by suitable composting technology. Users of orgnic fertilisers  over time can also stop the use of chemical fertilizers, insecticide and pesticide. This will be a great plus for the environment and cost savings for the farmers and country.

Pottery:-

Although many of the environmental effects of pottery production have existed for millennia, some of these have been amplified with modern technology and scales of production. The principal factors for consideration fall into two categories: (a) effects on workers, and (b) effects on the general environment.  We must encourage village arts like pottery, black smithy, carpentry and hand crafts.  The existence of these all village arts for future generations reminds them about our culture and customs of ancestors.  It is responsible of every person belonging to that particular community to preserve their ancestral art.

Eco-friendly Storage Houses that we Suggest:-

We suggest this type of storage houses made up of cow dung and bamboo.  It is preferable because it is eco-friendly and cost of making is very low.

Solar Power Project for the Village:

We suggest solar panels as power resource for the village due to discontinuous and fluctuated power supply.  This kind of solar power project are being installed in Gujarat, and many of the metropolitan cities, so when we prefer this kind of power supply to village it inhibits the global warming effect too and makes the village as complete eco-friendly.

Unable to Cope with the Change

India is a multi-lingual and multi-religious country where people don’t have a freedom to express their views.  Inferiority feeling is pumped into the blood of  every citizen through a process called Education.  Even though people of the country celebrated 65 years of independence, sourness of inferiority tastes good in our blood.  I don’t mean the people of country are inferior to other countries.  I mean we feel inferior among ourselves.  There is no chance of learning the domain subject when one feels inferior to the person who teaches the subject.  We just declare ourselves inferior by subjection others with “Sir” and “Mam”.   “Equality” is the word that sounds, that empowers every soul.  It creates path to reach high peaks in our lifetime.  If the teacher and doesn’t have a relation or a bond, that the stagnation of one’s thoughts will continue thereby.  The teaching is not to be considered as a profession, but to be taken to heart as a passion.  I really don’t know whether every student likes to imbibe the innovative thoughts and interest of a teacher but I feel that every teacher should try to imbibe the higher thoughts, moral and ethical values to their next generations through their teaching.  The inheritance of feelings and thoughts of teacher is only possible when there exits a bond that relates the 2 different hearts where there is a no question of inferiority.  The character of an individual is build in class room itself not else anywhere.

According to the physiological aspects the interest or impression towards a particular subject is well created in the minds of the students when the students have special liking towards that particular subject teacher.  Just few days back I have arrived to meet a lecturer who Is working in a prestigious University, under which many colleges were affiliated.  To get into that university many students simply work hard day and night throughout their intermediate education.  They just make themselves so recluse those 2 years just to gravitate into that university.  When once I heard the plight of the so called profound university through the lecturer who is working in that university, I just came to an edge panging myself.  I felt pity on their side.  He described the plight of the university in a realistic manner.  He describes its is a university where the selection of lecturer is done on the basis of just M.tech or Ph.d with a token of recommendation on the other track.  No test or  Demo is required for a lecturer to get selected into that university.  At last fourth year ending, at the peak situation when the student is in a hurry to grab the btech degree then the university asks the students to fill up the feedback about the lecturers.  In this university the teachers take very little burden on themselves and leave the whole things upon the students, they don’t even teach properly.  Here the teaching is done imploding all the way.  As we whip our crueality against animals the same way here the students were being taught.  Wah….This is the university ranks  top 10 in state.    I assure you that no where you can see the lecturer teaching the domain subject with love and peace of mind to the students.  For completion of huge syllabus the university also gives very minimum number of periods  and in same way it appoints the lecturers for very low salary even not examining their talent.   Here no student have guts to remark against the teacher who teaches void because of one and only reason is internal marks are in the hands of the teaching faculty. The expression Fear got accumulated in hearts of all.  I also assure that maximum number of teaching faculty for freshers(1st years)  oesn’t have any command on the subject what they are teaching.  In engineering 1st year constitute almost same syllabus of Previous Inter 2nd year , so when I made comparisions between the teaching levels of those lecturers and these one’s just I drew all above conclusions.  There In intermediate we have excellent faculty to teach group subjects who dealt with subject in deep way but here they are not even  spell the scientific terms correctly.  The students here are just in mere  perturb.  When some teacher comes here with a passion towards teaching other colleagues just discourages by saying “why you say all rubbish, I never taught them all those things, let them learn on their own.”   Once think in a shared room if 3 out of 4 roommates enthuse to go to a film, hope you can assume how the mindset of fourthone turns to majority.  In same way here too.  There is no record of firing the lecturers for teaching badly in this university.   As the same low amount of salary continues for 2 to 3long yrs,  It is wish of a teacher to go out to see that frustrated amount through a long period.   I can say all these because I am also one of the victims.

VIBRATIONS

Triggering New Ideas!!!
Barring the magazines run by charitable or organizations and caste groups Circulation, Advertisements and Paid articles are the key concepts of most magazines these days. Good magazines are few. How do you know that a magazine is good or bad? Some magazines oft have the cover page of a glamorous face of a heroine or half naked body of a model. Some magazines sell on political crisis or faces. Magazines that sell on the flesh show or political mess are selling on the weakness or emotions of the masses. These magazines try to grow financially. But good magazines are away from the celebrity mess, they don't involve in glamour show. They work on the minds rather than chromosomes.  By these metric Vibrations   is a good magazine. This is the magazine   which details and differentiates the different educational systems that exist throughout the world comparing them   with   one    another.  This magazine is a great help to all foreign    language     learners because it offers lessons for    French,    German   and   Spanish learning. This unique magazine was launched on 28th Oct, 2012 by the District Superintendent of Police Mr. Suryachandra Rao. The editorial team comprises young zealous people of good thought and caliber. I am a part of the magazine. For authentic information on the magazine including your Queries, articles, etc talk to me or  write me at gsrgokul@yahoo.co.in

THE QUINTESSENCE OF LEADERSHIP

Yesterday I approached the doctor in the hectic timings of the day.  There were atleast 200 people in and around the premises.  I always suffer with cold all 365 days.  I nearly waited for 2 and half hrs.
I got frustrated. Then some thoughts stuck my mind..and started to think in a practical way.
There are only 2 castes in our country
*      Rich Class
*      Poor Class.
Do you really think all our celebrities in tollywood picked up their spouse according to their own caste.  No, Not at all.  They just take status into an account not the caste.  We middle class people just to satisfy our pride, we approach casteism.  Somehow by ignorance we think this celebrities is from our caste.
TRUTH THAT IS HARD TO ACCEPT
“Always remember One thing:- A person in the high rank never bothers to maintain his relation with the one who is down or next to him, But Never forget a person who is down to you always bothers to maintain good relation with you.”
There are only 2 weapons in the world.  1)Money      2)Politics
I got to wait for getting my driving license for more 3 hrs in standing position.  There is not even a single fan in the room.  I cant grapple for it infront of all so I have to wait there.  I just came to think that how celebrities get  their driving license.  Do they stand in the “Q” like common people.  No.
“Man Creates Fake Currency,  But the Currency itself creates Fake People”-Well said by tolloywood director.
Do the politician' s son also stand in ‘Q’ to get for license test.  Not at all.  These rules are strictly for common man

HOW TO MAINTAIN A BETTER RELATIONSHIP WITH PEOPLE?

There are few points to keep in mind if you want to maintain a better relationship with the people around you.....

  • To Lead an organization or to achieve success in whatever work you taken up...first you have to keep a smile on your face even in drastic condition.
  • Think for atleast 10 to 20sec before you speak a sentence with others
  • As everyone in this world is slave for Duplicity and Shown-ism...Protect those two things in others and if possible give your own uplift to others to show their duplicity.
  • Every one Craves for appreciation so give a genuine Appreciation from your side.
  • Involve and give the persons their own importance in the organization or the work you insisted them to do....makes them work better than before.   Forcing doesn't have its way all the time.
  • Be a good listener.  Encourage other people to talk about themselves as much as possible.  This creates a good impression on you.  These days no one is patient to listen others problems and joys because everyone got themselves drowned in their own personal matters. So if you give your time to people then you get a chance to sail in their hearts.

TIME FACTOR

It was a great quote by Mark Miller that reminds me every day

"Great leaders dont think less of themselves; they just think of themselves less."

The two important thinks that leader must have are
  • A Proper Vision &
  • Implementation
Without these two no leader can succeed in his/her mission.  A person who want himself to turn as a leader should set his goal in such a way that he must not miss his target at any cause.  And the second thing is he must put it on paper how can he implement the things in proper way.

Every person can practice this type of planning in whatever case whether in studies/politics etc.  A Person aiming to be a leader should not say that he has no time. "NO BUSINESS RUNS WITH ONLY ONE AND SAME CUSTOMER EVERYDAY THROUGHOUT THE MONTH''.  So no one finds a plenty of time at a time but we may get few loose minutes everyday that we can utilize in some constructive work''.

Elevate Urself as a leader

Elevate Urself as a leader

First I would like to conclude that Leadership Qualities are not inherited.  We have to stive hard to gain them.  As Mark Miller Say's "Our Capacity to grow determines our capacity to lead."  We must be always a leader who is ready to face the next challenge but not as a leader who applies yesterdays solutions to the today's problems.  A leader must always work hard to grow and also should keep in mind that "Whenever he stops growing from then his downfall starts".

Some of the Important Points to be kept in mind if one aspires to grow as a leader:

1)One must not think i only his point of view but he must be able to keep himself into other's shoes.
2)When Sensurround by even few members he must think for 30sec even before speaking one or two               sentences.
3)When he has to address a large gathering he has to make a trial in front of mirror before addressing.
4)As Ken Blanchard says's "Anytime you influence the thinking, beliefs or development of another person                      you are engaging in leadership."
5)No one can be a good leader if the person doesn't read and absorb the biographies and life instances of so called great leaders in our history
6)Becoming a leader for life is more difficult than for short term.
7)If you want to be a good leader, first you must be a good listener.
8)If you want to be a good leader you must have language and communication skills.

HOW CAN WE IDENTIFY A TRUE LEADER

LEADER is always "Simple living and high thinking".
